Hey, all! I’m very excited to announce that I have had my FIRST ever commission from Step Zero Creations! I wrote a template for my friend Ian’s product descriptions for SZC’s Etsy shop and it was a fantastic time for all! I’m THRILLED that he also left a review, which you’ll find below with the other review from Paige! Check it out and maybe consider hiring me for your next writing project!
Much love,

Oh? What’s this? Yes! I updated my website yesterday. Sorry about jumbling everything around and changing some colors, except I’m not because I’m super proud of it. It took me like three hours of fine-tuning guys please…
For real though, thank you guys for the support and love I’ve gotten thus far! It means the world to me whenever I get a new follower, a new like, or a new comment. It means I’m being seen and, as a freelance writer, that is SO important. I don’t want to spam people with ads because honestly, who really follows/listens to those anymore? It sucks and it costs money, more than I’m willing to spend right now. So thank you, any and every one of you that reads this. That takes the time to even look at my website. I love and appreciate every single one of you and you make me do a happy dance.
Much, much, MUCH love,
Olivia πŸ’œπŸŒΉ

So! I haven’t posted an update in a while; the full-time job search has been rough. I am happy to have remained active on social media though, so if you haven’t gone to see me on social media I highly recommend!
Now, onto the exciting news: I have a YouTube channel! I’ll be adding that button ASAP to the home page as well as on my tree of links so you guys can find me, but I have a short introductory video up for you guys to see! Check it out, see what you think, and maybe drop a comment for video suggestions!
Much love,
Olivia

You may have noticed that I have updated the main page. That’s because I made a new page for the website! There is now a dedicated space for my writing excerpts for you to peruse. If there are any suggestions for other examples you would like to see, please leave a comment or email me. I would love to hear from you!
Much love,
Olivia

Well heck! I added myself on Thervo to try and get more traffic for commissions. I did not get a commission yet, but I was already selected as the Best of Thervo for 2021! You can see the badge displayed at the bottom of my page and yes, I will proudly display it til the day I die because I’m absolutely honored. So yes, please commission me because I would love to write for you and continue to defend my title as the best writer in my area for 2022 and onward.
Much love,
Olivia

Update on the linktree guys! I am now offering mini commissions, which can be directly paid through the linktree via PayPal! These are much smaller than my commission packages but that comes with the bonus of being cheaper overall. You can find my linktree on my socials, or you can fill out the contact form (follow the menu at the top of the page) to request a commission, mini or one of my packages. I hope to hear from you soon!
Much love,
Olivia

So! I now have a Linktree in my social bios and I posted something on Archive of Our Own! It’s called Mundane Magick and follows our as-of-now unnamed protagonist who steals back artifacts for a living. There is a reason I spell Magick that way in the title and spell it magic in the first chapter. I differentiate old and new magic with the “k,” the more letters the older it is basically. I’m really excited for people to read it and let me know what they think! I’ve still got the epic I’m working on, Vampyres Across Time (also a purpose with the “y” instead of “i,” similar reasoning) but since I want that to go to print and it is a longer work, that will take much longer! I’ll continue to post periodic updates/excerpts on it as little teasers, as well as some of my other works, but go ahead and give Mundane Magick a read! I look forward to reading your comments!
Much love,
Olivia

Time for some sad news today, folks. If anyone has noticed, I’ve been a little quiet on my social media. Well, today I also won’t be available to be contacted. My fiance’s great-grandfather has passed away and we’ve been with the family figuring things out. I’m really grateful for your patience and understanding as we go through this grieving period.

Happy birthday to the man, the myth, the legend Seth! I’m not going to be on my socials as much today due to trying to get a stubborn man to celebrate another year of life on this planet. If you need to contact me, please use my email (olivia.rosepetalwritings@gmail.com) or go to the contact form on my website and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
Much love,
Olivia

Blog number one let’s go! Since we’ve gotten the website up I want to thank everyone who’s been supporting me and answering all of my insane questions late at night or early in the morning. First of all, thank you to Raeya, my wonderful coworker at Evolution Power Yoga who brought me into the crazy world of freelancing. Next, but equally important, thank you so, so much to Paige for being the best freelancing mentor a young woman could ask for. Truly, you both are literal sunshine and I could not be more grateful for you if I tried. Next, I would like to thank my friends and family for their continued support of these crazy decisions and for approving, tweaking, making suggestions, and all that other fun, mundane stuff that goes into building a website. Another thank you to Julia Roat, my wonderful friend who saved the website design with her excess of WordPress knowledge and wisdom! You’re wonderful, Julia! But finally…I’d like to thank my fiancΓ©, Seth. It’s his birthday tomorrow, and he has been my biggest support. He has listened to me complain, cry, rant, vent, shout, and every other negative adjective in the dictionary about this process. Still, he offered insight where he could and helped me through it. Without him, I don’t think this site would have come to fruition. Thank ALL of you, and I hope to hear from you on social media soon!!
Much love,
Olivia
